  Very reliable, kind and funny guide - I stayed in Ethiopia for just one week to visit a friend there. During my visit in Arba Minch we did a few trips with our guide Tibebu and it... read more was awesome. One day we went on a boat trip on lake Chamo. We were very lucky and saw a lot of crocodiles, hippos and bald eagles. Tibebu speaks good english and explains a lot during the trips. The second trip was a two-days-trip to Dorze. We stayed at Dorze Lodge and the view up there is incredible! You learn about the culture and how the tribes live there. It is worth to book a trip with a guide.
In addition Tibebu tries to make everything possible, if you want to go somewhere by bajaj, moto or car, he'll organize it! And for sure he is always on time!!!
Moreover he's always in good mood, jokes around and knows the best places to stop by for a snack.
I can highly recommend Tibebu and when I come back, I will certainly book some more trips with him.

The walk is through forest with colobus and vervet. Easy walking. The 40 springs are unattractive but follow fence around to left and you will find a small,fresh water pool in which you can swim.   After Omo Valley four day tour we stayed three nights in Arba Minch which is a typical African town. We hired a local guide to enter Nech Sar National Park.... read more I requested a boat trip but for some reason it wasn’t available so we drove 25 km to the mountain and another 25 km back. The road itself wasn’t that bad but the cars are in bad condition and it took 2,5 hours to get there and another 2,5 hours back. If you plan to do a car drive make sure it has working AC since there are tonns of nasty horse flies (who bite) accompanying you in the car!! Mosquito repellante has no use. Long pants and long sleeve shirts are must to wear despite of the overwhelming heat. At the mountain we took half an hour walk and saw couple of zebras, two monkeys and big spiders. Totally not worth for $190! If you want to see wildlife go to South-Africa.

We were fortunate to see and experience so much of the environments and the people with their culture. The Dorze people are so welcoming and loving people, they treated us like family as soon as we had steeped foot there. Their rich culture is passed down for generations from a deep ancestral root. It was amazing to see how they live in this ever- changing world while still keeping their culture vibrant and alive. one of the best trips and memories spent with him was at a town called sile where we had our camping tents, snacks and other items set out to live out in wild for a couple of days, we woke up and swam in the nearby sile river, ate corn and bananas from the nearby farms, we rode our motorbikes on slopes and rigid landscapes and we had pure fun, we laughed we rejoiced and i truely felt like I'm living my life properly. we traveled more than many occasions on different places as his loyal customer & friend. to characterize tebebu I'd say his a really funny, really reliable and overall a very charismatic guy and well knowledgeable with years of experience and he has great and articulate trilingual language & communication skills, English, Amharic, Gamoya and I forgot to mention that his very renowned and loved by the community of multiple sites. qualified as one of the best tour guides !

  Great guy! - During my thesis research I stayed in Arba Minch during 3 months (Summer 2019). I've got to know Wisdom as a very friendly bajaj-driver, always there when we needed him... read more and happy to take me and other students around the town. For my birthday, he even decorated his bajaj with balloons and arranged a cake for me and the other students, I loved it!
When my family came to visit me, Wisdom was the first person I addressed to arrange a trip to Bale Mountains. He arranged us a car, driver, tour guide in the parc,.. all for a very fair price and everything was super well organized. He is a super reliable and trustworthy person, always with a big smile on his face.

Entering the Park by car, however, is less wonderful. The road is poorly maintained making the trip very bumpy and slow. As we learned, due to poaching and cattle grazing, many of the animals that used to be in the park are no longer there; we saw lots of birds, zebra and a few dik-dik, however, visitors should not expect this to be like a safari where they will see lots of animals. Once we drove for an hour we got out and hiked which was nice; make sure to go early because it gets very hot. Overall, the park seems to have a lot of potential but just hasn’t been well maintained.

We moved around mostly by Bajaj and walking, which was ideal. The evening before we planned our excursion, Tibebu also gave us a really useful walking tour of the city, and helped with getting some things from the market. Tibebu is also a very chilled and friendly guy to be around. From speaking with him, he works with people with all different requirements and budgets (i.e. from backpackers to billionaires), so just talk through what you need with him, and he can make suggestions.
