We spent around 10 amazing days with Firew Fikadu (Round Omo Valley Tours) travelling through the Omo Valley. He took us to learn and stay with many different tribes (Arbore, Banna, Hammer, Karo, Bodi and Mursi) it was mind blowing! Firew was such good company, teaching us about this part of the world and the various tribal customs and background. I can’ honestly say that I never expected to get so intrenched into so foreign a mix of cultures. Firew worked tirelessly to make sure we saw some of the rarest things possible – ceremonies, tribes, stunning landscape, adventure like you can’t imagine. We saw a coming of age ceremony deep in the wilderness of the Omo Valley. The experience has changed us for sure – it’s one I would recommend everyone does and particularly with Firew, we were really heavy hearted to leave him and his beautiful part of the world. We will endeavour to return!
